SIMSHAR out on 30th April 2014

A few years ago Malta was awoken to the shocking news of the faith of the Simshar, a fishing boat that was mysteriously destroyed at sea, and never came home.  The drama faced by the crew, reveled by the only survivor, was made into a film, that is now ready for launch.

A young and mischievous Theo sets off on his first fishing trip with his sea faring family, on board the Simshar. Also in the Mediterranean, a medic is kept hostage on a vessel harbouring rescued African migrants, which Malta and Italy refuse access to. When a fire breaks out, leaving the Simshar crew stranded in open water, the two strands unravel to disastrous consequences.

At the Embassy Complex in Valletta there is currently an exhibition of the props used in the making of this film.

The film is being released on Wednesday 30th April and will be showing daily at 10.15am, 1.45pm, 4.10pm, 6.30p, and 8.55pm. For more details click on the following LINK.
